Can I use *67 with a number I receive in a text?

I frequently receive phone numbers in texts that I need to call. On my older Droid, I could tap the number, then add *67 to the front of the number before dialing it. Or, if I recognized that the phone operator had inputed our area code incorrectly I could change just that before dialing. Is there any way to do that on my new IPhone 5?

Thk u, I know how to tap and call that number. I'm looking for a way to call that number without my name and number coming thru with it. This is actually for my husband's phone. He gets texts with patient phone numbers and doesn't always want them having his cell number. His Droid allowed him to tap the number and then go in and block it or adjust it before dialing it. I've tried forwarding it and still can't get his number blocked.

Okay, now I see why you are wanting to do that. I am not aware of a way to do that.

I was trying something similar and tried to paste it into Notes with the *67 in front of it. While it will paste there, Notes will no longer recognize it as a phone number. It pastes it with "tel:" but you can delete that. I cannot seem to find something that will work.

EDIT: I tested it a couple more times in Notes, and finally got it to recognize it as a phone number, but it will not recognize the asterisk as being part of the number. Sorry.
