The glass on the back of my iPhone 5 was scratched...I had no idea why this happened cuz the alluminum part is not scratched at all! Is this covered in the warranty? or do I have to pay for the repair cost?

I just don't know why the glass is scratched but the alluminum part isn't. I Thought the glass is tougher than the alluminum.
