Oct 5, 2012 11:28 PM in response to Fangby mende1,★HelpfulThe latest Mac OS X version is 10.8.2. Open App Store, make a backup and purchase OS X Mountain Lion. See if your programs are supported > http://www.roaringapps.com

Oct 6, 2012 7:57 AM in response to Fangby dalstott,10.7.4 has been available since the upgrade was released on May 9, 2012. You would need to upgrade from 10.6.8 to 10.7.x and then apply the 10.7.4 combo update. The problem you have now is that LIon 10.7 is only available via the rescue partition on those Macs having it already installed or from the Apple Lion thumb drive that is no longer available.
Your easiest solutiona is to follow the advice of mende 1 and go for 10.8.2

Not anywhere near being true. You can get a MAS redemption code from Apple by calling its online store's telesales agents: 1-800-MY-APPLE (1-800-692-7753) or Customer Service and Sales Support at 1-800-676-2775.
