How do I delete my iPhoto library on my iPhone and just have photostream?

I have an iMac (main computer), MacBook Air and an iPhone. When I set up iCloud, somewhere along the way it synced my entire Macbook Air library onto my iPhone and I can't get rid of it. I like having photostream on all my devices as that's just 1000 photos, but my iPhoto library is huge and takes up all my storage on the iPhone.

How can I get my iphone to just have photostream and not my entire iPhoto library?

You remove photos synced to your phone the same way they got there, through the iTunes sync process. iTunes running, your phone connected, under the Photos tab, remove the checks next to the albums/folders you do not want on your phone, hit the apply/sync button.

This doesn't work. I unclick everything and it asks if I want to remove them from my iphone, I click yes obviously and then sync. Within a second it says it can't complete this because there isn't enough space on my phone. BS. After I unclick the library the memory bar shows I would have 35GB of space if it would only sync. what is the problem????????

I have this same problem. Only worse I can't even "see" any of the photos in this library. I see only about 300 mb worth of photos in the Photo app. However I see that the photo library is occupying 4GB of space in my phone. Same here also, no way to manage in iTunes as I can't access the photos section.

Same problem here -- iphone says Photo Library takes up 3.4GB, yet I don't have any photos on my phone anymore. I've tried deleting on the phone, clearing all photo syncing in iTunes, etc. and the **** photo library still shows it's taking up 3.4GB on my phone. What the heck?

Figured it out -- photos and videos that you've deleted aren't actually deleted from your phone immediately. They are put in a Recently Deleted album. Go to Photos on your phone, view photos by Album, go to the Recently Deleted album and delete all the photos and videos there.
