How long does iPhone 5 take to ship?

we're users here. How would we know?

It is really quick, iPhone with tracking went from Shenzen China, to Hong Kong, to Anchorage Alaska, to Tennessee, to Destination in less than 3 days time.

So I ordered my iPhone 5 on Oct. 2nd and here we are 16 days later (Oct. 18th for you non-math geniuses).

Have I received my iphone 5 yet? No.

Have I received a notification that my iPhone has shipped? No.

Have I received a courtesy email letting me know my order is still being processed (since it is now over two weeks later)? No.

Am I satisfied with Apple's customer service? ...No.

I'm sorry, but if you're going to backorder something a month deep, at least have the courtesy to let me know that my order is coming, because at this point I've already looked at other phones thinking there are better alternatives to this level of service with comparable technology.

So, to answer your question, there is no quanitfiable way to know how long it will take an iPhone 5 to ship. I imagine Tim Cook has all of the world's iPhone 5's sitting on his desk, and daily he chooses one lucky recipient to send the "glorious" iPhone 5 to. Think of your iPhone, when you eventually receive it, the same way Charlie thought of his golden ticket to The Chocolate Factory in Willie Wonka. However, that might be a let down based on the product feedback I have heard of the people that already have them.

Let this be a lesson to you, Apple. There are other Chocolate Factories, and your loyal customers are beginning to look for something better than what you are offering.

Contact Apple or whomever you ordered the device from and inquire about the status.

That is MUCH more productive than whining in a user to user forum.

I ordered the iphone 5 off AT&T on the 25th of last month. I believe its the most popular model (16gb, black).

Either way, I just got a confirmation today that it had been shipped.

A friend ordered 2 days before me, and another a day before. They both got shipping confirmations 2 days back and yesterday respectively.

Going by this progression, if you ordered on the 5th of Oct, I would assume if it was a 16gb black, it would take another week or two minimum.

They promise a 2-3 week wait. But in the fine print it's the number of Working days! So tack on another 6 days.

I'll have my iPhone exactly a month after I ordered it. ***** cause when I got an iPhone 4, I literally got it 2 days after it released. Just walked into a store and picked it up.

Pretty sure they told you how long it was going to take when you ordered it, so why are you here whinning?

I ordered mine on the 14th of this month, so far they've told me that my order is being processed and I'm happy with that. Whinning isn't going to solve anything.

If you're so hot to try an alternative, check on your provider for the cost of an additional line. On ATT, it''s $9.99 plus taxes. So, get another line and then ask for a Samsung Galaxy S3 or whatever turns you on. At ATT, you get a 30 money back guarantee (minus a $30 restocking fee).

If you like your "alternative", cancal the IP5 order. If the IP5 comes in the meantime, don't open the box until you decide which way to go. You phone company should be able to switch your "alternative" to the number on your IP5 if you desire.

I bought one of these on Sept 4th for a 30 day tryout. Yes, the screen had a lot of flash and the phone is actually supposed to also support FLASH. However, I couldn't make the flash sites I wanted to view work. After about 2 weeks, I knew I was going to return the phone and wait for my new IP5.

IMHO, well worth the wait.

You ordered your from AT&T on Sept 25th and got shipping confirmation already? I ordered mine the day before you (Sept 24th also from AT&T) and have yet to receive shipping confirmation. The order status still says "pending". This is so frustrating. The next time there's a new iPhone, I will preorder within the first hour. I know a couple of people who did just that and got their phones within a week. Lucky ********, LOL. I went to the AT&T store on Monday (Sept 24th) and that's when I ordered it. Let know how long shipping takes. Thanks. :)
