How do I transfer iTune mp3 files from my OS 10.4.11 iMac to my new iPhone 5?

I just purchased an iPhone 5. I am trying to transfer my mp3 music files from my OS 10.4.11 (Tiger) iMac to the iPhone but am unable to do so. I currently have iTunes 9 on my iMac. I'm thinking I may need to upgrade one or all of these systems, or is there a way around all this? Thanks for any help anyone can provide.

You need to upgrade the computer to Mac OS X 10.6, which requires an Intel Mac, and then run Software Update. If your Mac is compatible with Mac OS X 10.6, phone the online Apple Store and order it.
