The update to 6 has been very disappointing for my husband and I. When traveling this past week the updated map app basically *****. The colors work against each other make seeing roads on the map almost impossible. No current location button when trying to get directions from point A to point B. I want the old map app back.

Yes there is. Tap the icon in the upper left that looks like an arrow. There will be fields for start and end. If current location is not already filled in, type in "c," "u," so on until current location appears as an option. Haven't heard any complaints about color.
