Q: Cannot send/recieve mail in @icloud.com mail

I have my mail address (appleid) and two alias for work. One is a @me mail and the other one is @icloud.com

 

I have no problems with @me address , I can send emails to it, I can recieved mails from it, but not about the other

one.

 

For example, in Mail app, I can't send mails using the @icloud.com address and if I send a mail from gmail web page

to the @icloud.com address I recieved this error from servers

 

 

Technical details of permanent failure:

Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the recipient domain. We recommend contacting the other email provider for further information about the cause of this error. The error that the other server returned was: 550 550 5.1.1 unknown or illegal alias: xxxxxxx@icloud.com (state 13).

 

 

If I send from icloud web an email to may gmail account, I get the mail in gmail (from @icloud.com alias), but If I response to this mail address from gmail, I recieve the same error.

iMac (27-inch Mid 2010), Mac OS X (10.7.4)

    I have same issue.

     

    Can Apple change my account to use my @icloud.com?

    I pretty much have your same isue, i have my current apple id (email@me) and saw that under mail settings in icloud.com/mail apple has already given me my new @icloud.com alias. However i cant recieve or send mail using it. I made a bit of a research and found this which was very usefull:

    I think apple already gave us our equivalent of our @me mail aliases with @ilcoud, but in order to use them we need to wait for the email notification they will send us when the whole process is complete, as it says on the article. This could take a few days or maybe some weeks. I hope it doesnt take long because im planing on using the new @icloud adress for work and maybe creating a new alias for my other business.

     

    However i noticed i can use my new @icloud alias to sign in to my apple acount. I can also use it to send mail from icloud.com/mail (browser) but if i reply back from for example my gmail it gives the mail delivery failure message.
