From iPhoto, I have been uploading an album to Apple's shared photo stream, however, whenever I upload, the photos are now in a different order.
Is it possible to keep the photos in the same order as in my albums? I think the photo stream is probably just sorting by date.

I believe that PS sorts by date. Look to see if there are any options

Can't do what you want. The photos are automatically sorted by date as you suspected. You can send a feature request to Apple via http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphoto.html.

Thanks Old Toad. It's a shame that it doesn't let you do that, as a key feature of making an album to share is bein able to arrange the photos to 'tell a story'. I will ping a suggestion to Apple though - thanks for the link!
You could put the photos in an album and use the Photos ➙ Batch Change ➙ Date menu option and change the date on all of photos to the same day with a minute between photos (don't use the option to apply to the originals) and then create the Photo Stream album. That may do what you want
