error -19

While updateing my ipad 2 it had an error while restoring and will not restart. The error is -19 , can't seem to find this error to get help. Can anyone help.

  • Make sure your firewall/virus program will allow iTunes to connect to the internet (allow iTunes or create an exception for iTunes to gain full access)
  • Watch this short tutorialon how to modify your hosts file. Remove any form of gs.apple.com from the file (will look like #74.208...gs.apple.com). Then try updating to iOS 6 again.
  • You can try manually installing iOS 6 via DFU. Read herehow to get in DFU mode and go here to find the iOS 6 ipsw. When restoring, hold Shift (or Alt) and a menu will pop up. Use the iOS 6 ipsw you just downloaded and restore.
