OS X Mountain Lion HDMI issue

I recently updated my system to Mac OS X 10.7.5 and then to 10.8.2 (including 1.0 supplemental update ). I'm now having issues extending my desktop to external monitors and TV (tried Samsung TV and Dell monitor) using mini HDMI adaptor. Before this I was able to connect it without any issues.

MacBook Pro, 13 -inch, Early 2011

Software OS X 10.8.2 (12C60)

I've tried PRAM, SMC reset, deleting windowserver pst files as discussed in other forums but of no avail. Unfortunately my service support is expired.

I could see blue screen fluctuation but nothing happens. In monitor it tries to search for signal then after few seconds says 'No Signal'.

There is no arrangement tab shown anymore in Mountain Lion..

Any help is appreciated.
