Q: airport express for tivo?

I have a ps3 and tivo on one side of the room and the actual connection to the time capsule on the other side.

Would the express 2012 or any other model work to extend the network mostly to connect the tivo? I dont want to buy a tivo wifi adapter.

Yes, you can use a number of AirPort models to extend the wireless network created by your Time Capsule. You can then connect the TiVO to the base station via Ethernet for Internet access.

Would the a1264 work? I have the a1084 and it doesn't work.

Yes, the A1264 model would work just fine. The older A1084 only supported the Wireless Distribution System (WDS) method for extending a wireless network. Using this model would have severe bandwidth limitations as it would only be able to create an extended network using the 802.11g radio mode.
