I did this but after the update, I tried to open the app but it said an error caused this to quit. It won't even let me enter the serial number. Any ideas?

I read the support article about installing Apple Remote Desktop 3.3 on mountain lion. I have followed instructions and updated the app and it is still not working. Any ideas? I am trying to install Apple Remote Desktop 3.3 onto an 11" MacBook Air running Mac osx 10.8.2.
