Transfer video from Sony Digital8 to Macbook Pro

I have a few movies on a Sony Handycam Hi8 camcorder that I want to transfer to my Macbook Pro but I have no idea how to do it or what cords to use. I was thinking about calling Crutchfield to find out how to do it but I wanted to ask here on this forum first.

Anyone have any ideas?
