IPhone Closes Apps - low virtual memory

Problems with Iphone include shortened battery life, excessive crash dump files and low virtual memory. I tried turning the cloud off. That seemed to work for awhile. After the issue came back, I deleted an email account. Again, this seemed like it fixed the issue even though I find it ridiculous that I cannot have more than 2 email accounts on my phone. Again, the issue came back. I tried resetting the phone. Nothing. I am seeing Power Assertion Failed errors in the dump files. Is this the phones way of saying I need a new phone? Ive only had it 2 years and with an 850 dollar price tag for a new phone, i'm not about to trust the investment.

so, if someone in Apple can help me resolve my problem, I will think twice before switching to a competing product.

Have you tried to switching your phone off for 10 minutes and then switching it back on? That should clear your virtual memory and caches. Having more than 2 email accounts should not be the issue. I have 3 email accounts and have never exeperienced this error.

Have you also tried to restore your iPhone from iTunes? That should fix any software related issue if there is. If it did not, then it has to be a hardware related issue. You may want to get it sent to Apple and let a genius boy have a look.

Thanks Dinpm. I haven't tried the iTunes restore thing. Is that to say, it will update my apps by downloading again from iTunes?

I have tried to take meticulous care of this miniature computer due to its cost. I'm not comfortable with it breaking after only 2 years of use. But, I can't say for certain that is the cause/solution for now.

Will give the iTunes suggestion a whirl.
