I recently switched from AT&T to Verizon for the IPhone 5 and IMessages on my phone will periodically stop sending and receiving messages even though LTE is working. The only fix is for me to restart the phone or enter and exit airplane mode, resetting the cellular data. Is Apple or Verizon working on this problem?

I have the exact same problem and if I dont reset the phone after 15 minutes or so it will send as a regular text message. Im on verizon as well with a 5.
Also will add that the same problem exists for push notifications.
Looking at the log on my IPhone, APSD is crashing like 20 timse throughout the day.
This is a big problem right now. So far the ONLY fix we have seen is to restore your phone back to defaults (via iTunes) and setup your iPhone as a new phone (and not restoring from a backup). Then you have to reset everything up on your phone...big pain in the ace! Everytime you restore from a backup (iTunes or iCloud) you will have this problem with the apple push service daemon crashing on your phone-you can see this in settings/general/about/diagnostics logs...as soon as it crashes you will loose iMessage, FaceTime, all push email notifications, etc (anything that uses APple's push service)...so far no fix, hopfully soon!!!!!
I have AT&T and mine is doing the same thing. Also having issues with phone not working inside our house (first time that's ever happened), and it won't always allow me to use my keyboard shortcuts. I have to shut if off and turn it back on.
Getting tired of this issue. Strange thing is that I do not get the APSD in logs, but iMessage and push die...
I fixed the issue by reseting my phone and setting it up as a new phone instead of restoring. Ever since then, I have had no further issues.
