Q: airplay won't work on an iMac made in mid march, 2010?

If i upgrade to Mountain Lion, Airplay still won't work on my Apple TV from a 27" iMac manufactured from Mid 2010?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.5)

    Correct, it has to be a 2011 model (mid 2011 for most types but early 2011 for MBP), so your 2010 iMac will not support Mirror even with ML.

     

    There are mirror apps, airparrot.com is one that will allow you to mirror if you buy their app (about 9.99 bucks), well worth a look.
