I have Iphone 5 and the App Sore is not doing things right. Often it shows available updates on the icon of the store, but does not allow to update, the application main screen stays blank after i open it. The rest of the tabs, e.g. Genius, Featured, Charts are blank all the time.
I have same problem with my iPhone 5. My i5 is UK on and I'm using it in Dubai.
Try two things. First sign out and then back into the device/store.
If that doesn't fix it, reboot the device.

Singing out and in, rebooting, hard resetting do not help. I am on the US app store, living in Russia
Well this is becoming a different problems entirely. Change your store to your location first of all.

Same issue, it started on the 13th of October 2012. The "Featured" "Charts" and "Search" tabs are blank. I am using a brand new iPhone 5 on iOS 6. This issue needs to be resolved promptly.
It fixed now! I know I can count on Apple !!
I have the same issue with the my Iphone 4. it was working fine, and now my updates fail.
I had the same issue and was able to resolve it by going to Settings - General - Reset - Reset All. This will clear your WIFI password etc.. but you will not lose anything data wise, etc...

I'm having the same issue. Tried everything as well. Not sure what device origin and location have to do with finding a solution, but my device is from the US and I'm using it in Dubai.
I have the same problem:
1. the Appstore icon shows a red number of updates available
2. after launching the app store, the update screen shows a blank screen
3. other functions in app store appear to work
The following steps help me fix this problem:
1. sign out of app store under Setting->iTunes & App Stores
2. go back to app store (WITHOUT signing in with Apple ID)
3. go to Update
4. on my iphone, the update of all apps will come back
5. hit Update All
6. sign in with your Apple ID when prompted
7. bingo, here you go!
I have iPhone 3GS and updated to iOS 6.0.1. Was facing same issue of updates showing on the App Store icon and then updates tab empty. Signing out and again signing in App Store solved it. But I don't wish to and don't expect such things with apple products :-/. Completely off the subject, but the algorithm for apps like facebook and other are also flawed as they keep growing in MBs and this is contributed to Apple! I don't know the exact thing but surely not working in favour of users!
