safari problem (probably Java)

I just wanted to deliver my tax-report and it won't work. I upgraded to mountain lion. It also won't work on lion. But it does work on snow leopard. I guess it's java problem. My system allready updated and UpToDate (HaHaHa) because I also feature problems with a Toshiba USB 3.0 ext. hard drive. What ******** software did apple put into the market there? If anyone has a hint how to solve these problems....

Hello,

If you just upgraded your Mac to OS X Mountain Lion you probably noticed that Java Runtime Environment (JRE) is removed from your system. Apple has decided that Java is unnecessary for OS X and Mountain Lion upgrade process uninstalls Java but you can install it afterwards. Apple theoretically tries to reduce the risk of security problems with Java just like we saw few months back with Flashback Trojan which infected over 700,000 Mac computers.

If you still want to install Java on your OS X Mountain Lion powered Mac here is simple tutorial you can follow:

There are two different methods on how you can install Java in OS X Mountain Lion, first is simpler.

Thanks for the reply but when I open java preference utility it says java 1.6 64 and 32 bit. Activation-Button for online-services is also checked. But it won't work. Like I said with snow leopard there's no problem. Also the harddisk is mounted correctly with snow leopard. But Lion and Mounten Lion won't. I also feature problems with my native instruments audio kontrol 1. At first it won't work at all but after firmware update it "only" won't let any midi signal through. That realy *****.
