My iphone cannot connect tot hotmail

Hello,

I have been unable to connect to my Hotmail account via my iphone. Hotmail worked fine on my phone for almost 2 years. Then randomly for several days now, it stopped working on my iPhone 4 and iPad 2 for no reason. I had not changed any settings. I have tried reinstalling the account numerous times, changed my password...nothing has worked. Has anyone been able to provide a solution to the cannot get mail - connection to the server failed issue on the iphone? Mine stopped working a few days after I upgraded to ios 6 ...
