Q: I am running OX 10.7.5 and Iphoto9 and I am having a problem with Photo Stream.  I want to set up ICloud and Photo Stream Icon is gray out. I am also running OX 6 on my iPhone.

I am running OX 10.7.5 and Iphoto 9 and I am having a problem with installing ICloud on my Macbook. I have Iphone 4s with iOS 6.The Photo Stream on my Mac is gray out. Can not select it.

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.4)

    The Photo Stream on my Mac is gray out

     

    You must be running Mt. Lion 10.8.2 or later in order to have iCloud on your Mac.

    iCloud was released for Lion and Photo Stream should be available for Lion as it is in the list. If they didn't have iCloud then they couldn't be able to see the photo stream option. Cause for it graying out can be because iPhoto is not installed or iPhoto needing to be updated.

    * Note: Although you can use iOS 5 and OS X Lion as noted above, you will not be able to take advantage of some iCloud features, such as Shared Photo Streams, iCloud Tabs, Find My iPhone Lost Mode, Documents in the Cloud for iWork, and Find My Friends location-based alerts.
