I can't find my screen shots. They used to appear on my desktop. I hear the capture sound, but cannot locate them. Can anyone help me locate them?

AFAIK, they'll go to Documents unless you've chosen another location, using something like TinkerTool.
You can set it back to your Desktop by opening Terminal and entering the following 2 commands:
defaults write com.apple.screencapture location ~/Desktop/
killall SystemUIServer
Thank you keg55!! I have never entered a command in Terminal before, but this did solve my problem. I appreciate your help!🙂
Thanks, baltwo. I couldn't find any in my docements. Thanks for your suggestion.🙂
Keg55,
This worked the first time I did it, but now I can't find the images again. I tried adding the command again, but I can't get it to work now.
You can change ~/Desktop/ to any path you want like ~/Movies/. Maybe try a different path for now. Also, write down the screen image file name so you can do a search for it using SpotLight.
And remember to do the killall SystemUIServer.
Here is the Link I found that information at.
Thanks, keg55. I will keep trying. I appreciate you help! The link is useful.
