My iMac g5 won't boot up. The indicator comes on, but the screen stays black. Help!

Perhaps you could try the reset options outlined at https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4391019?answerId=19929635022#19929635022 by me.
You show as running 10.7.5 Lion.
Then you do not have a PPC G5 iMac but an Intel iMac.
Looks like you have both an Intel and an older iMac G5 PPC. Do you hear the chime on startup?
The chime is quite meaningful. It means the computer passed the P.O.S.T / Power On Self Test.
