Is anybody else had issues where the iCal is unable to add events after iOS6 update

After iOS 6 was installed on iPhone 4, the iCal was unable to add a new event.

I was able to rectify this after trying numerous different restores. I went into ICloud and deleted the iCal. It asked to deleted everything on the iCloud but keep on the phone, I excepted. Then I was able to reload onto iCloud, and bingo the add new event button reappeared.
