my Iphoto is wiped clean

I went to open up my Iphoto to and some pictures today and it opened up like it has never been used before. No pictures and with the opening banner with " to get started with faces: "

I thought maybe I could go back with the time machine and restore back a week and see if that helps, but I can't go back any further than yesterday.

Any help would be great.. Thanks
