mx300

I own an Cannon MX300 scanner copier. I recently installed mountain lion OS 10.8 and now the software (MP Navigator EX 1.0) for the scanner doesn't boot up. I get a message saying that it quit unexpectedly. I've done a search on the web for this issues and installed drivers for this hardware, but nothing has fixed the issue. Can anyone help?
