Copying/Moving files in Finder

Hi everyone.

While dragging files, either to copy or move, hovering over a folder used to expand it.

So one could pick up a file in the root and take it all the way through the directory. However, this isn't happening anymore! Bug or feature removal (which would be quite silly)? If it's a custom setting, how do I get it back?

Frustrating to be only able to drag files only one folder deep!

I have similar issue. When I pick file on desktop, hovering over Finder ico in Dock, Finder doesn't expand. It shows grey desktop instead. But I can open Finder, pick any file on desktop, move it to Finder window and go through the directories.

It appeared right after my OS upgrade.
