I keep getting error message 100 everytime I try to upgrade to Mountain Lion on my Macbook Air. Why is this happening?

I keep getting error message 100 ("there was an error in the app store") everytime (and I've tried 3X/week for over a month now) I try to upgrade to Mountain Lion on my Macbook Air. Why is this happening?

MacBook Air, Mac OS X (10.7.5)

What model of MBA? ML will run only on the Late 2008 or newer MBAs. (model identifier MacBookAir2,1 or later)
