Where are the MAIL contacts list?
Just installed Mountain Lion. Now cannot find the Mail Contacts list. There is an "Address Panel" but it cannot be edited. It's loaded up with iCloud stuff and how do I get rid of this stuff?

You have an application called "Contacts". It looks like a small brown book. Your contacts should be in there.
I cannot believe an email program does not have an address/contacts file to enter addresses to send a new email.
Is there no way to import my list from another email program such as AOL mail?
The Mail program in Snow Leopard had a contact/address file and just clicking on an address entered it into the TO" field. How does this work in Mountain Lion Mail? I cannot figure it out. This makes this program virtually useless.
This iCloud is a horror.
I have the Contacts app. But how do I get the contacts into Mail to use to address a new email?

Mail has a Contacts file, it keeps it in Contacts.

Just start typing an address, Mail will look it up in the Contacts application:
I want to edit my contacts. I see the little book under "addresses" but the system won't let me see all my contacts to edit them.
Where is the list of contacts like every other email program?
Thanks
You edit them in the Contacts program.
