Time Capsule not backing up computer

The past couple days, I've been getting an error message saying:

The backup disk could not be found.

Make sure the backup disk is connected or open Time Machine preferences to select a different backup disk.

When I open System Preferences, Time Machine is on, my Time Capsule is the selected dick, and it has 1.62 of 2 TB available. On the Time Capsule itself, the green light is on. And I'm having no problems with my Network.

The computer I'm trying to back up is a Macbook Pro running OS 10.8.2

I'm not aware of any changes I've made that would cause Time Machine to stop working.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

It is just poor networking on Mountain Lion.. reboot the whole network.. modem.. wait 2min.. Router or TC.. wait 2min then the client computers.

Does it now find the disk??

If not you need to connect and redo the setup using ethernet.

Set wireless to smb standard.. ie short name.. no spaces pure alphanumeric. but it will still need to occasionally reboot the TC..

My solution until Apple fixes this glitch:

I put a timer on my power supply. It "unplugs" time capsule every night from midnight until 5 am, thereby resetting itself and avoiding the whole issue.

I'm not awake those hours to be using it anyway, so it doesn't interrupt anything, and as an added bonus, it saves a bit if electricity every night.
