mountain lion mail

Last week, I updated to Mountainlion via safari softward updates on my Macbook Pro. My mail program immediatedly stopped working, giving me a message that this mail program did not work with this version. SO, upon suggestion of apple employee at store hour away, I deleted my mail program. Now, imagine this - I have no more mail program. Is there a way I can download a current version of mail that works with Safair?
