Livetype

In Livetype under the Pro series is an animation called 'Bar' in which the text is extruded forward and shiny with an animated light going around the text...I would like to create something without the animated light. The text is similer to what a programme called 'Art text' can create - that is a shiny, rounded entity like a web button. Any ideas would be helpful.
