My iPod is stuck on the "Plug into iTunes" screen. What do I do???

So, my computer is telling me that I need to type in my password into my iPod to unlock it, but my iPod is telling me to "Plug into Tunes". I can't unlock it on my iPod and I've already tried putting it into recovery mode (or whatever you call it) multiple times doing it differently each time, but it's still not working. It was previously jailbroken (if that makes a difference), but I just want to restore it now so I can get it to work. Someone with answers, pleeeeeeeease help me!!! 🙂
