Can i share airplay from my macbook pro to my iPad?

I'm curious, can I airplay content from my Macbook Pro onto my iPad?

MacBook Pro, iOS 6

No, AirPlay is for Apple TV. You can turn on home share on your MacBook and iPad so you can stream to your iPad.
