I'm on the last generation of MacBook Air, running Lion (10.7.5) and ever since upgrading, iCal has just been terrible. There are very long delays before the program responds (e.g. 10s after typing, the content show up). Generally my Air seems to be slowing down in it's second year, but nothing so bad as iCal. Are there known issues with the new iCal? Is there anything I can do to rectify this? I would like to use this program a lot - & presently rely on it to schedule my work, but I can't even create a new event anymore - the program just freezes.

I've been on macs my entire life & this is the first time I've felt that the product quality was really lacking ... Any assistance to sort out the issue would be greatly appreciated.
