Q: I am unable to open my email after the most recent update. When I clicked on the icon it told me that I had an old version and wanted to update/change to the newer version. It changed the picture for the icon mail-will not open at all???

Has the Mail program by any chance been moved out of your computer's Applications folder?

If it has, move it back, then download the combo update

and apply it. The update downloads (it's big, 1 GB) as a .dmg file, which then should be opened and an updater is there which you run to apply the updates.

Running this comb updater may fix your problem even if Mail is still where it should have been.

After running the combo update, run software update again to see if any updates remain to do.
