I'm having frequent accessing sites through the new Safari. Can't use the google toolbar, access half of my tumblr links (just freezes up), and at least a half-dozen other sites so far. If this keeps up, I'm going to firefox full time...anyone else? Any fixes?
MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)
The Google toolbar was omitted in Safari 6. To search, just type keywords in the unified search bar.
For links (webpages) that freeze... try deleting cookies and the cache.
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab.
Click: Remove All Website Data (removes cookeies)
Now back to the menu bar, click Safari > Reset Safari
Select: Clear History (also empties the cache)
Deselect the remaining boxes then click Reset.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If nothing above helped, go to Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab.
If there are any installed, turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that didn't help, Safari > Preferences then select the Security tab. Deselect: Enable plug ins. Quit and relaunch Safari. If that helped, try troubleshooting third party add ons. Instructions here.
