I can't connect to the App Store
I cannot use the iTunes Store. It says "cannot connect to the iTunes Store". What's wrong here. It's was right after I downloaded iOS 6

Try this:
1. Go to Settings>General>Date and Time>Set Automatically>Off
2. Set the date ahead by a few months
3. You should then be able to connect to the store

I had to set my date all the way to 2022. A few months ahead did not work; 2013 and 2014 did not work. I also bumped ahead one day. Then I shut down and restarted my iPad (hold down both buttons until the apple appears, then release). Tried to update and download apps. System complained. Then i manually reset the date back to today and all worked. I can now update and install new.

Oct. 25. I was not able to connect to the iTunes store on my Mac Pro desktop -- never had problems before. My internet connection is working, so I tried connecting to the App store and was able to connect, then went back and tried iTunes again and I am now able to connect. Maybe my Mac Mail will work, too! Give it a try.

This worked for me too. Needed to set the date ahead by quite a number of years, shut down, etc. Silly to have to do this, but it worked. Thanks.
