I have checked the notification centre and its sent to 'on' and everything so it should work but nothing is showing up! All that come up is a red '1' on the facebook app itself but i dont get a banner and it does not show up in lock screen!

I’m not getting any notifications from the Facebook app since last year I believe and I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling it, turning notifications on and off, I even tried deactivating and reactivating my Facebook account, nothing worked
Is your FaceBook on the News Feed screen? You say you are getting the red circle with the number of new notification on your App Icon, right? But you Open the FB App and you don't have the top banner, right?
no no fb is normal its just i dont get alerts or anything.. like when i lock my screen nothing comes up
Go To Settings>Notifications>Facebook
Then you can choose what type of Alerts you can get. Hope this helps!
ive done all that but it still doesnt give me notifications
check ur notifications again.
the area with "do not disturb", scroll down to the bottom and make sure FB isnt in the "Not in Notification Center". mine was having those issues til i just fixed it now.
I had the same problem, but I found out a solution ^^
even if i had all my notification setting On ( setting and setting in facebook) my ihpone 5 didn't display notifications of facebook.
what i did? i just uninstalled facebook, and installed it again, then it works xD

Okay. I was having this problem too! But I found a solution.
I went into the notification area and made sure the banner or alert setting was on, and that it was set to show on my lock screen.
Then I opened up facebook and went to account settings.
I went to notifications > mobile push.
I unchecked every box and it automatically saves.
I restarted my phone.
Opened Facebook and went back into the notifications > mobile push and reselected all the boxes.
I restarted my phone again and it worked!
