Stupid and time consuming bug

Well, for days I tried to update iPhoto and Aperture in the App Store by clicking the "update all" buttons, but the App Store app would just show a spinning wheel and not much happened. Yesterday, after having spent a considerable amount of time trying to figure out what was wrong, I tried to update one of the individually, and then the stupid app told me what was wrong: The updates required 10.7.5, which I had hesitated to upgrade to yet after some messages about TM errors. Thank you very much for wasting my time with an excellent example of non-usability, Apple! 😠
