Problem with "lost" iCal Data

Hello.

I have bit of a situation here. 2 weeks ago I made some changes to one of our iMacs. I needed to disable/delete one user account and create new one. I did not remove the files, and selected the option where OSX compressed the user folders into a disk image, and I thought that it would preserve all the data in the folders.

Here is the problem, I was able to recover all the files from the disk image, but I have no idea how to recover iCal data. I believe the event data should be in users home folder /Library/Calendars , but I can not import any data from those folders.

Is there anyway to recover the lost calendars?
