Trying to use 2 Echo Layla 24/96 interfaces as one

I have 2 older Echo Audio Layla 24/96 interfaces I am trying to use as 1 in Logic Pro 7 on my G5 mac.
I used them with my crappy old p.c. together in Cubase SX giving me 16 inputs (8 in/out each), but the p.c. was too slow so i upgraded to this, i also had to get 2 new PCI-X cards for them to work with my mac. They both show up seperatly and work individually but in my audio settings on the mac i can only choose 1: "layla slot 3 or layla slot 4" and the same in Logic Pro 7....
I also have a Behringer ADA8000 interface i linked off the one layla's optical in to get 8 additional tracks, however only 4 of those tracks show up in Logic Pro 7, giving me 12.....

my question: is Logic Pro 7 limited to 12 inputs?
How can i tell my mac to use both as one..... or logic pro 7???
thank you all very much no one has been able to help with this, i have fought and searched message boards and tech support and music stores for about a year...
