game center error communicating with server when log in

when try to log in via game center i get: error comunicating with server. Game center on my iPhone works perfect bu on my mac i get this error. can someone please help!

This usually caused by a customised hosts file.


These need to be the only entries in your /etc/hosts file:-


##

# Host Database

#

# localhost is used to configure the loopback interface

# when the system is booting. Do not change this entry.

##

127.0.0.1 localhost

255.255.255.255 broadcasthost

::1 localhost

fe80::1%lo0 localhost


Remove anything below these entries, then try and reconnect with GC. Once GC starts properly you can put the extra entries back in your hosts file, GC should start normally afterwards.
