This close to finishing a newsletter using the Real Estate Newsletter template for Pages. But for the life of me I can't figure out how to change the green background color where the pictures are placed (I used the exact photo place settings). I've clicked around the green box, but can't get to a place to change the color. Probably something simple I'm overlooking?

I clicked on that background & looked in the metrics inspecter to find out more about it. That green background is a .png image file & it is not locked like many of the objects in the templates. The easiest way to change it is to delete it & insert another image or shape of your choosing.

So, just to be clear, there is no way I can simply go in and adjust the color, right? I'm just worried that if I delete the green background, I may not be able to recreate it in another color. Thanks for your help!
You can adjust the color with the Adjust Image pane. You won’t have a color wheel to choose a color from, but by using the various sliders you can change the color and brightness until you find a color you like.

Thanks for your help! One more question. On the second page of the Real Estate Newsletter, left column, there are lines separating the content elements. Is there a way to delete them? I went to lines on the panel and clicked none, but the lines still appear.
I assume you mean the two-column page, which is the first in the list of pages you can insert. The long divider between the sidebar & the two-column box can just be selected & deleted. The divider in the shorter text box is more difficult to grab but is just as easy to delete. To select it I clicked in the margin & dragged my cursor until the box & divider were selected then ⌘-clicked on the text box to deselect it then pressed the delete key to delete the divider.
Thanks. Trying to delete a divider in the shorter text box, but still having a heckuva time getting it to select the divider. I'll keep trying.
If you are having problem selecting a smaller object it might be that it is somewhat hidden. Move the other object back so you get the one you want on the top an thereby easier to select.
It's right under the last line of text. Not sure how it appared, inasmuch as it's an extra divider line. I'm messing around with it, but haven't been able to highlight it and delete.
You can send me the document and I'll try to get a hold on the divider. Click on my blue name and you'll find my address.
Some of the lines are really hard to grab. Try clicking on a text box and dragging it a little so as to expoce the line you want to delete. Delete the line then drag the text box back into position. I was able to delete every line on the page. If you want to delete the box around the chart, select it and go to the Graphic Inspector, and under Stroke, choose none.
