Q: Mad Mac

I am mightily peeed off having discovered AFTER upgrading to Snow Dog that my macbook Pro which i have just put an SSD into at some expense will not do Airplay mirroring. I have been Mac mad for 20 years and now I really am Mac Mad actually Mac Livid.

MacBook Pro (15-inch Mid 2009), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

    Yeah, I can tell that you are mad.  But, in Apple's defense, if you would have read up on Airplay Mirroring, you would have found this all out before upgrading.  They have documents that are pretty clear on this.

    Yes, Apple clearly said which models support Airplay mirroring.

     

    P.S: have you looked in to the alternitive, AirParrot?

    Fair enough folks but like most when it comes to upgrades or new OS I'm a creature of habit. For years and years OS was backwards compatible and perhaps slower on older machines which gently persuaded you to upgrade your machines. My original Intel iMac, perfect in so many ways, can't do Lion and consequently no iCal syncing thru iCloud etc.You're all right of course but I assumed that airplay would work, it works from iTunes so why not everything else? A bit of salemanship I fear. Anyway they needn't worry I literally CAN'T use a PC. I am going to wait until they're all ssd though however long that is.

    meantime I'll lokk at Airparrot unless that's just to amuse me:)
