Instrument Library is invalid

Instrument Library is invalid

I have just installed iLife 05 and when I try to open Garageband2 I get a window telling me that the Instrument Library is invalid!
<The Instrument Library is invalid. GarageBand expects a valid Instrument Library folder in /Library/Application Support/GarageBand.
Please choose a valid Instrument Library folder or quit and re-install GarageBand.>

When I select as instructed and hit the choose button nothing happens and I remain at the same window.

Please help!! - thanks!

Do a search for ".plist" and put the one referencing GB in the trash. Do a search for ".cs" and put the one referencing GB in the trash. Restart the computer, try GB again. GB will recreate those files automatically when it restarts.

Trashing the GarageBand ".plist" file worked for me.

I did not find a ".cs" file specifically associated with GarageBand as I decided not to look through the 3806 files returned by Spotlight.

Just for completeness, it's much easier to search for "GarageBand" to find the .plist and .cs files.
