My daughter's iPhone 4 suddenly started to show up as being located in Toronto (at University of Toronto), then Dallas ( at Porter Elementary School), then San Jose, California. Finally it went back to Iowa where it actually is. Today, it's showing up at this Dallas school again. My daughter has no idea what is happening and we are frustrated that the find phone and maps may not work if the phone can't figure out where it is! What is going on?! This shows the same way on her phone and on our other phones--ie, the system thinks she is in these places and it shows this way to anyone looking at Find My Friends. The rest of us are in our correct locations.
All the forums are at a loss--resets and restores don't help. Is it that new map Apple rolled out that screwed things up? Is someone cloning her phone on the sly? Why are they all schools....? Any ideas?! It will be at least Thanksgiving before she can come home and anywhere near an Apple store.
