Is there a program that levels out the volume of mp3 tracks on itunes, other than just the standard 'sound check'?

I am running a Macbook, OS 10.5.8 with itunes 10.

I want to make the mp3 tracks on my itunes level so that they all play at the same volume. The 'sound check' function doesn't seem to do this effectively as some tracks are considerably louder than others.

Is there a program or script out there that does this?

Please help! 😕

Sorry, didn't notice the versions.

I just spent 10 minutes searching for an alternative download site for the original MacMP3Gain but all site lead me to the defunct homepage.mac.com site. Maybe since you have more incentive you will spend more than 10 minutes. 😉 If you do find it, make sure you work on copies of your files. Several people complained that it essentially wiped some files.
