mouse bluetooth disappeared

Bluethooth for mouse disappeared. Re-booting does not help. I can't go back and get it from time machine because it is a OS file. When you go to the utility, it says "no hardware found". Mouse worked just fine yesterday. 😟 I tried fresh batteries. Even tried a different mouse. It is like the machine completely ate the bluetooth software. *Poof* Gone.
