I used to send images in Apple Mail and it gave me the option to resize them. In Mountain Lion all of my images are sent super small and no can read or see them. Cannot find a setting anywhere in Apple mail that allows me to choose the size. Have searched the forums and haven't seen anything except thread from 2011 on this topic and none are relevant.

I used to have that in my email but it is no longer there anymore since upgrading to Mountain Lion
What type of file are you hoping to resize? Not all types can be resized this way and don't give you the option (e.g., PDF cannot).

Any third party software that could conceivably be in play and making a conflict?
(Some ways to pin this possibility down: try a different user account, or startup in Safe Mode.)
It was Daylite 4 mail plugin. Removed it and everything is back to the way it should be. They really screwed things up with Daylite 4 and we are searching for a new CRM solution. Thanks for the help Charlie!

Help! I have the same problem. I checked another user account and that one had the size menu. How do I go about figuring out what the conflict is? I closed all 3rd party programs that were running.
Actually I just realized it won't show the resize window for pngs (screen shots) but it will resize jpgs and tifs!
Okay totally confused. I converted the pix to jpg and Mail still hates them.
